A minor vamp of the 1920s, brunette Alma Bennett seduced mostly comics: cross-eyed Ben Turpin, bucolic Andy Clyde, and most famously, Harry Langdon. She vamped the latter in her only remembered film, Long Pants (1927), but less than two years later she was reduced to playing a typist in My Lady's Past and a jury member in Painted Faces. Bennett was married to actor Harry Springler.
