Cat People

Directed by Paul Schrader

Sex Horror, Creature Film - Rated R - 118 Minutes - 1982

Paul Schrader's loose adaptation of the 1942 horror classic of the same name moves the action to 1980's New Orleans, where waifish Irina (Natassja Kinski) meets her older brother (Malcolm McDowell) for the first time since their parents died and she was sent to a series of foster homes. After some chaos, he begins spouting an unbelievable story about his family's were-cat heritage, and we're off into a psycho-sexual nightmare. (Available on HBO)
