Ever since their inception in 1982, Washington-based, D.I.Y. punk rock record label K Records has been dishing out some of the best indie punk on the music scene. In this release, K Records co-founders Calvin Johnson and Candice Pederson discuss their enduring success and the bands that have kept the scene alive since the early 1980s. Additional interviews with such artists and peers as Rose Melberg, Mecca Normal, Slim Moon, and Ian MacKaye explore K Records rich musical legacy, and performances by Beat Happening, Fugazi, and others offer a firsthand look at just what K Records is all about.
