Life with Mickey: Walt Disney Cartoon Classics Limited Gold Edition
Plot Synopsis by Hal Erickson

This Disney collection offers the lucky viewer several prime examples of the world's most famous mouse, from his early black-and-white days to the Technicolor '50s. The representative cartoons include Shanghaied, in which Mickey rescues Minnie from the clutches of pirate captain Peg-leg Pete; Alpine Climbers, the highlight of which is a St. Bernard's rescue of Goofy; and Mickey's Circus, wherein Donald Duck runs afoul of a performing seal act. The best of the bunch is 1935's Mickey's Polo Team. This is truly an "all-star" effort, featuring not only Mickey and the gang but dead-on caricatures of such celebrities as Laurel and Hardy, Harpo Marx, Wallace Beery and even Spencer Tracy. Also included are Mickey Down Under and R'coon Dawg.
