Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A Korean Pyongyang Nalpharam expert faces off against invading Japanese forces in this period martial arts adventure from directors Pyo Gwang and Maeng Cheol-min. Jeong Taek (Ri Ryeong-hun) is a master of the ancient martial arts form Pyongyang Nalpharam, which was perfected on Mt. Taeseong centuries ago. In Japan-occupied Korea around the turn of the 20th Century, Taek returns home one day to find his father poisoned by Korean-born Japanese woman Mieko (Yu Hye-gyeong) - who claims the elder was responsible for the death of her own father. At first mistaking the young murderess for his childhood sweetheart, Taek is forced to leap into action when Japanese forces lay claim to a series of precious texts containing the closely guarded secrets of Pyongyang Nalpharam.
