Mae West said it best: "When I'm good, I'm very, very good. 'N when I'm bad, I'm better." It would be nice to report that Heather Vale, star of the soft-core And When She Was Bad..., was in West's league. Instead, Vale is virtually interchangeable with any other X-rated heroine. Nor is the plot of the film out of the ordinary: Vale comes on to her stepfather's best friend. Since even the porn-film industry has age restrictions (remember Traci Lords?), we can only surmise that Vale is older than the character she portrays; she certainly gives that impression in the sex scenes.
