Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

This suspenseful wartime drama is set in Warsaw, during the German occupation in World War II. The action starts when a group of student resistance fighters plan an assault on the very core of their oppressors -- Nazi headquarters itself. They intend to execute the despised head of the SS, General Kutscher. Once their attack is worked out, it is put into action, leading up to the requisite climax in the story. But at the same time, the group needs to survive the German manhunt launched at them after the attack, and that is another question entirely. This film was an entry in the 1959 San Sebastian Film Festival.
