Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This Czech children's adventure chronicles the exploits of The Fleet Arrows, a gang of five young sleuths, as they search for the meaning of a mysterious graffiti puzzle. The Fleet Arrows also "publish" the "Tom Tom" a newspaper for children. It is the rival Vonts, the leather jacket wearing not-so-nice gang that dominate the streets that draw the puzzle with chalk upon stone walls. The Arrows discover a diary written by a boy who mysteriously died. The journal includes the plans for his wonderful invention--a flying bike. The secret of the bike is encoded in the puzzling mark used by the Vonts. When their story is leaked to a rival "publisher," one of the Straight Arrows is cast out as a traitor. The Vonts try to steal the diary. It is discovered that the dead boy was an orphan and that the enigmatic M was stalking him.
