Synopsis by Janiss Garza

A poor farmer decides one night to desert his rented land and his four stepchildren. The oldest, Mona (Mary McAlister), takes care of the other three until the landlord, a wealthy land owner, discovers that the farmer is missing. He reports the situation to the Children's Welfare League, which moves to take the children and send them away to four different families. The kids can't stand the thought of being separated, so they hitch up their horse and ride off. The horse brings them to the landlord's property and they wind up melting his crusty demeanor. In the end, he decides to adopt them all himself.
