Synopsis
Emmy-winning, dramatic re-creations of events 'that alter and illuminate our times,' including the Berlin airlift; the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation; Hitler's rise; and Lou Gehrig's fatal illness. Among the actors who appeared: Paul Newman (as Nathan Hale), Ray Walston, Robert Culp, Richard Kiley, David Janssen, E.G. Marshall and Lorne Greene. The series began on radio in 1947 and was revived by CBS in 1971 as a Saturday-afternoon show geared to kids.
