Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Nick Cassavetes directs his wife Heather Wahlquist in this unconventional portrait of a woman with a strong self-destructive streak. Mary (Wahlquist) is a substitute teacher, but isn't engaged with her life and allows herself elaborate flights of fancy. For example, when one of her co-workers begins giving her a hard time about her lesson plans, Mary imagines the exchange being sung like an opera. After banging a student's father on conference night, she is fired and heads home to confront a dark secret from her family's past. Yellow screened at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival.
