Synopsis by Mark Deming

A pair of failing romances add up to a mystery for one young woman in this drama from Spanish filmmaker Felipe Vega. Monica (Barbara Lennie) is a twenty-something woman who is trying to find a job and wondering what to do about her gone-stale relationship with boyfriend David (Alberto Ferreiro). Monica's romantic problems are mirrored by her parents Daniel (Adolfo Fernandez) and Ana (Blanca Apilanez), whose marriage has become loveless and combative. One night, Monica returns home to discover he's forgotten her keys and no one is around to let her in. Monica heads over to Daniel's apartment only to discover he's not alone -- Clara (Emma Vilarasau), a woman she's seen with Daniel, is already there and presumably spending the night. A few hours later, Ana also stops by the flat, looking for someone else. Monica quickly realizes some strange things are going on in her relationship as well as that of her folks, and she's determined to find out the truth on both sides.
