If crooked record executive Newquay (Tim Curry) can't force Vinnie (Ken Wahl) and Bobby (Glenn Frey) to resign from Radiance Records, he will go out of his way to humiliate them with menial jobs in the mail room. While sorting through letters and documents Bobby discovers that Vinnie is an undercover federal agent. This realization, coupled with subsequent events, could spell curtains for either Vinnie or Newquay, both of whose fates hinge upon a bootlegged tape of the late Eddie Tempest.
