Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Her partnership with matinee-idol Harold Lockwood having come to an abrupt end with Lockwood's sudden death in the influenza epidemic of 1918, blond May Allison starred opposite the less popular Hale Hamilton in this melodrama from Metro. Allison played Beatrice Buckley, a young girl who is forced to make a living when he father is killed by a burglar. Opening a candy factory, Beatrice succeeds beyond her wildest dreams, a success that threatens rival candy manufacturer John Maddox (Stephen Grattan), the same man who had ordered Buckley senior's killing in the first place. Attempting to sabotage Beatrice's plans for the future, Maddox hires rabble rouser (Francis Joyner) to instigate a strike among her workers. Happily, both Beatrice and her factory are saved in the nick of time by handsome Robert Howard (Hamilton), who forces a confession from the mortally wounded agitator.
