Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Architect James Wilson (William Anker) has a daughter, Jessie (Alma Hanlon), and a dissolute son, Roy (Malcolm Duncan). Wilson's consultant, Richard Carew (Herbert Hayes), is in love with Jessie, but Wilson believes that his daughter is too young to marry. Roy, meanwhile, is causing all sorts of trouble because of his gambling and winds up deeply in debt to Wilson's rival, Graham Madison (Frank H. Belcher). He also falls in love with Madison's mistress, Cleo (Ruby Hoffman). He steals a bid from his father to make good on the debt and also takes some jewels to give to Cleo. Wilson discovers his son's thievery and dies of the shock. Carew, who has been meeting with Jessie in secret, is accused of the crime, but he is let off when Roy reveals his theft. Cleo has fallen in love with Roy, but she renounces him to keep him on the straight and narrow path, while Carew weds Jessie.
