Synopsis by Kristie Hassen
French movie star Monsieur Cognac, aptlly named for his fondness for drink, is racing through the streets of Paris with his mistress hot on his trail. When he runs into American musician and fellow boozer, Terry Williams (Tony Curtis), the two go out for a few drinks. Mistress Giselle (Christine Kaufmann)--with her father (Jacques Aubuchon) in tow--catches up to her beloved to find him and Terry perfectly sloshed. Giselle and Terry immediately fall in love and marry--much to the protest of Papa--leaving poor, dejected Cognac to suffer immense feelings of jealousy. Cognac won't let Giselle go so easily and proceeds to come between the two love-birds, forcing Terry to think quickly so as not to lose his new bride for ever. Frank Weatherwax is the talented trainer responsible for the brilliant performance of Monsieur Cognac--a show-stealing French poodle.
