Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Ron Ormond, uncrowned king of the inexpensive "regional" film, was responsible for White Lightnin' Road. Ormond directed the picture, co-produced with his wife June, and found a sizeable role for his son Tim. The storyline concerns an auto race conducted by rival moonshiners. There's also a subplot involving a shotgun marriage (a standard ingredient in quickies of this nature). The amateurish acting and shoddy production values can't compare with the fascinating stock shots of genuine car races which figure into the film's finale.
