An innocent birthday celebration affords a bourgeoisie family the opportunity to view their lives from an entirely new perspective in director Tomislav Radic's award-winning family drama. The occasion is daughter Iva's sweet sixteen, and the gift is a brand new video camera. As young Iva ecstatically turns the lens on herself and her family to document every moment of the celebration, what ultimately manifests out of the footage is a microcosmic snapshot of Croatian culture as personified through the actions of her squabbling and argumentative, but ultimately loving and affectionate family.
