Ever anxious to supplement his income as a news writer, Murray (Gavin MacLeod) volunteers for the lucrative assignment of producing the "Happy Homemaker" TV show. True, Murray and the show's star, Sue Ann Nivens (Betty White), are not exactly bosom buddies, but Murray is determined to make the best of the situation. He learns to regret his decision upon discovering that Sue Ann thinks "producer" is synonymous with "flunkey." "What Do You Want to Do When You Produce?" was first telecast on December 20, 1975.
