Synopsis by Janiss Garza
This three-reeler really did feature a Western governor in its cast -- W.P. Hunt, then-governor of Arizona. This touch of reality blends with the fiction of a Southwestern sheriff trying to round up some horse thieves. The sheriff and his deputy find the outlaw's camp, but the deputy is fatally shot by one of the rustlers, Monte Red. The gang's leader is exposed as the sheriff's son Robert, and Red accuses him of shooting the deputy. The young man is sentenced to be hanged, and although the governor gives a sympathetic ear to his mother and grown sister, he refuses to stay the execution. However, when the man's baby sister (Pinky Bell) chatters on about her brother, the governor has a change of heart. He halts the execution and only moments later, Monte Red confesses to the crime.
