Playwright Owen Davis Sr., best-known for his blood-and-thunder melodramas, penned the screenplay for this Irene Fenwick vehicle. Having married for money, Jenny Gay (Fenwick) does not love her cruel and overbearing husband and begins thinking about playing the field. Though she stops short of philandering, she is nonetheless embroiled in a scandal which causes her to flee the city in disgrace. Jenny relocates in a mining town, where she inaugurates a romance with her new neighbor, mining engineer Tom Grayson (Ben Taggart). At first, Tom spurns her because of her shady past, but changes his mind when she saves him from being victimized by a crooked land deal.
