Synopsis by Nathan Southern
The performance ensemble Vox Lumiere mounts this unique experimental theater piece as an adaptation of Victor Hugo's novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame; in it, the Lumiere thespians act out the story of the novel on stage while an early, black-and-white film adaptation plays on massive screens behind them. A five-piece band and eight singers provide the musical element.
