synopsis
When a poor chamberpot salesman decides to better his position by selling his younger brother to the Vatican choir, his brother decides that this is not for him and escapes. Now our poor salesman must take his place. One slight problem, he doesn't have the beautiful high tenor voice he needs and so must face the operation most feared by the male of the species - and become a member of the Castrati. He finagles his way out of it and discovers he enjoys where his position takes him, since obviously the husbands of the wealthy women where he performs are not suspicious of him - considering his supposed status as a eunuch. An Italian comedy with oddball humor.
