Synopsis by Bhob Stewart
Writer-director Christer Engberg based this tale of teens on his own experiences teaching theater in northern Sweden at a special school in Lulea. Sent from a Stockholm suburb, troubled teen Jim arrives in the northern coastal area at a reform school where he joins a like-minded, rebellious group being taught by a dedicated teacher, Conny. When Conny writes a musical, he's joined by choreographer Stina. The two face the challenge of staging Conny's musical with the misfits. Some of Engberg's former students appear in the cast of this film, shown at the 1997 Edinburgh and Haugesund film festivals. The English title of the film is Wild Angel.
