Video From Russia is an independently produced documentary directed by Dimitri Devyatkin and narrated by actress Margot Kidder. The film journey takes viewers inside Russia with an unauthorized team to film spontaneous conversations with Russian citizens from Moscow and Leningrad, to Kiev and Volgograd. In this rare glimpse into the Russian viewpoint, comrades from all walks of life and all age groups talk candidly with the American crew about common issues such as war, work relationships, and music. The program originally aired on ABC in 1984.
