Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Gennady Vassiliev's adventure film Vassily Buslayav, adapted from the poem by Sergei Narovchatov, tells of how the title character becomes a hero in his native country. Although he enjoyed the privileged upbringing as the son of a political leader, Buslayav maintains close contact with the common people. Although the powerful resented his popularity, Buslayav cements himself in the eyes of his people when he engages in battle the enemy who means to wipe them out.
