Emily (Diane Keaton) is an American widow and keen charity volunteer living in an expensive apartment located in Hampstead Heath, London. This picturesque location is not only home to the rich however, but also to a brusque Irish local named Donald (Brendan Gleeson), who lives in a small cabin and survives off the land. When Emily discovers that Donald’s home is soon to be demolished by real estate developers, the two join forces to fight for his cause, resulting in a blossoming unconventional romance based on a true story.
