synopsis
Sometimes the director of Seven Doors of Death is listed as Louis Fuller, sometimes as Lucio Fulci. Catch on, folks? IT'S THE SAME GUY. Anyway, Fuller/Fulci is up to his usual "scare 'em witless" tricks in this Italian horrorfest. Heroine Katherine MacColl inherits a decrepit hotel, and immediately (and foolishly) moves in. MacColl is not likely to pose any threat to TravelLodge or Motel 6, in that her hotel is haunted. Previously owned by a satanist, the drafty old structure is now held in thrall by zombies, ghouls and sundry other nonpaying guests. Also known as The Beyond, Seven Doors of Death is a cut above the usual slice-and-dice fare common to this genre.
