Synopsis by Hal Erickson

First telecast on October 21, 1994, "Ascension" was the conclusion of a two-part X-Files drama that began with the previous week's "Duane Barry." Steve Railsback guest stars as former FBI agent Duane Barry, who has become unhinged after an apparent alien abduction. Escaping from federal custody, Barry kidnaps Scully and forces her to take him to the sight where he allegedly experienced his close encounter -- as Mulder, who believes Barry but worries that the man will turn violent again, rushes to the rescue. "Ascension" was written by Paul Brown.
