synopsis
Kim Henkel, who co-wrote the screenplay to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, directed this, the third sequel to Tobe Hooper's original terror masterpiece. After a dance, several high school students find themselevs stramnded in the middle of nowhere and run afoul of a murderous family of psychotic killers. Completed in 1995 under the title Return Of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, this went unreleased for three years until it emerged on video as Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, thanks in part to the presence in the cast of Matthew McConaughey (before A Time To Kill and Lone Star) as a particularly strange member of the Chainsaw clan and Renee Zellweger (before Jerry Maguire) as one of the teenagers.
