Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
In this Israeli satire, a well-known labor politician is forced to spend some time recuperating in a mountain village for reasons of health. He is outraged to discover that the people there take little interest in politics and have no knowledge of him and his importance. Undeterred, he sets out to transform the attitudes of the villagers and succeeds only too well. By the time he has left, political in-fighting is as much a local sport in the village as it is in Tel Aviv.
