synopsis
This documentary from Jim Jarmusch pays tribute to one of rock & roll's most influential, though not generally its most popular, chartwise, performers Neil Young, and his long-time hard-driving back-up band Crazy Horse. An exuberant series of concert clips and interviews, most of which are filmed on 8mm stock, the film is as rough-edged and raw as the music itself. The interviews were done by different sources and range in date from the 1970s through the late 1990s. The concert sequences were shot live during 1996 performances in Washington State and in France. Songs include "Stupid Girl," "Tonight's the Night," "Like a Hurricane" and "Music Arcade."
