This society crook drama was one of Irene Castle's last films (she retired from the screen in 1923). John Clinton Warren (Warren Cook) has gotten himself in a financial bind. Edward Langdon (Anders Randolph) has a signature that Warren forged, and the old man's reputation is at stake. To save him, his daughter Naomi (Castle) is willing to marry Langdon, even though she cares nothing for him. Luckily for Naomi, Langdon is killed in a car accident; unfortunately, the Langdon family still possesses the forged note. One night ,Naomi's room is invaded by a burglar. The quick-thinking girl convinces him that she, too, is a crook and together they plot to rob the Langdon's safe. Langdon's nephew, Richard (Rod LaRocque) catches her, but he lets her go because she promises to go straight -- and because he has already half fallen in love with her. Still convinced that Naomi is a crook, Richard continues to see her. Because of their romance, Naomi is able to get her hands on the note, but by then she loves Richard too much to carry on her dishonesty. She tells him the truth and he solves the whole matter by proposing to her.
