Synopsis by Janiss Garza
When Ira Nutcombe (Charles Gardner) dies, he bequeaths his whole fortune to Lord Dawlish (Taylor Holmes), because Dawlish gave him a few key golf tips. But Dawlish discovers that Nutcombe's niece Elizabeth (Virginia Valli) was left nothing, so he travels to her Long Island chicken farm to give her half the money. Because she has already said that she wants nothing to do with him, he arrives under an assumed name. He does everything he can to help around the farm, and she finally comes to love and trust him. But her vindictive brother, "Nutty" (Arthur W. Bates), reveals Dawlish's real identity, and Elizabeth orders her visitor out. Dawlish goes, but he leaves behind a document giving her the whole fortune. She finds the paper and dashes after him, saying that she will only accept the money if he marries her. Dawlish happily agrees to this arrangement. This picture was adapted from a story by P.G. Wodehouse.
