The feature drama True Vinyl (2000) concerns a Nebraskan boy who travels to the big city of Los Angeles as a participant in the fourth annual World DJ Competition. He develops a crush on a blonde dancer, but soon finds that blossoming relationship in grave danger when he has an affair with a booking agent named Trish Michaels, and the dancer happens upon them together. The film features country singer Mac Davis in a key supporting role.
