Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Rick Steves wraps up his trip to Spain in Granada, where the Moors ruled the country for 700 years. The Alhambra still stands here as a monument to the once-great Moorish civilization. Then it is off to the sun-drenched Costa del Sol, followed by the awesome spectacle of the 1,400-foot-high Rock of Gibraltar (with a glimpse or two of the Rock's fat and sassy Barbary apes). Heading across the Gibraltar Strait, viewers will see Tangiers, amid the hustle and bustle of merchants, belly dancers, and traditional food and drink -- and of course, the home of the fabled Casbah. With a jaunty "Happy Travels," Rick concludes this 52nd and final episode of his popular PBS series Travels in Europe With Rick Steves.
