Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Advertised as a 3-reeler, Edison's Tragedies of the Crystal Globe actually ran four reels. Either way, it seems to have been a waste of celluloid. The heroine pays a visit to a fortune teller, hoping to learn what's in store for her future. The soothsayer gazes into his crystal globe, conjuring up images of the girl seeking out a love potion from a coven of witches. Alas, in applying this potion to her sweetheart, the girl succeeds only in bringing about disaster. It was all supposed to be so terribly serious, but contemporary audiences greeted the picture with hoots of unrestrained laughter.
