Director Laurel Chiten takes an earnest approach to a fantastical topic with this documentary about people who believe to have experienced extraterrestrial encounters, and the ways in which those encounters changed their lives forever. John Mack, M.D. is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and Harvard Medical School professor who became the laughing stock of his personal and professional circles after confessing to be a "believer." Compelled by Mack's story and the ways in which people respond when the unexplained suddenly intrudes into their lives, filmmaker Chiten sets out to speak with people who have had similar experiences in an attempt to better understand how they cope with experiences that cannot fully comprehend.
