Synopsis by Nathan Southern

Two iconoclastic performance artists whose names are a veritable household word in the United Kingdom, Gilbert and George (George Passmore and Gilbert Prousch) built their reputations by engaging in a series of over-the-top "stunts," such as making public appearances in matching suits, covering each other in gold paint, and - most notably - taking and publicly presenting extremely controversial photographs that some have alternately deemed repellent and even blasphemous. In the release Tim Marlow With... Gilbert and George, art historian and expert Marlow joins Prousch and Passmore for a walk through the Major Exhibition at the Tate Modern Gallery, in which the artists pontificate on their lives, religions (or lack thereof), and personal feelings about artistic expression per se.
