Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This mystery was based on the novel by Frederic V.R.Dey. Because broker John Trevor (Charles Clary) helped out Lathrop, his son George (Gaston Glass) feels indebted to him. So when Trevor needs some quick cash to keep from being ruined on Wall Street, George offers to help. To get the necessary funds, he steals bonds from the safe of Sam Millington (Joseph W. Girard). Because Millington's son, Jack (Jack Mulhall), understands the reason for the theft, he pretends to have been involved in an auto accident and takes the blame for the missing bonds. The intrigue continues to build in fits and starts, misunderstandings ensue, and engagements are broken. Everything gets cleared up in the end. Stuart Holmes does a good turn as Fenwick Chapman, the film's villain.
