This comedy-drama was standard program fare, with one exception -- the horse that the hero has bet his last dime on actually loses, a true rarity in horseracing films during the 1920s and 1930s. Because he wants the family name to gain prestige, wealthy Peter Bemis (Maclyn Arbuckle) urges his nephew Bob (Theodore Von Eltz) to break into society. Robert tries to oblige his uncle, but instead he winds up falling in love with Mitzi Callahan, a chorus girl (Gladys Hulette). He purchases an old racehorse from Mitzi's father in hopes of making some money with it. When Dan Drummond makes unwanted advances towards Mitzi, Bob gives him a thorough beating. After a series of adventures, Bob finally enters his horse in a big race -- and loses. Uncle Peter comes to Bob's aid, and Mitzi is finally welcomed into the family.
