Synopsis by Hal Erickson
An outgrowth of a popular British stage presentation, the weekly sci-fi spoof They Came From Somewhere Else began its Channel 4 run on July 14, 1984. The series took place in Middleford, a cozy British community that was overtaken by eccentric space aliens. Replete with man-eating sofas and giant killer prawns, the series was written by its cast, using the collective nom de plume "Cliff Hanger." A zany lampoon of every "space-attack" movie known to mankind, They Came From Somewhere Else ran for six episodes, the last of which was seen on August 18, 1984.
