Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This 35-minute long film offers a brilliant rendition of T.S. Eliot's epic poem "The Waste Land" as read by extraordinary stage actress Fiona Shaw. With only careful lighting for her background, she simply performs the poem, using her voice and body to convey the tension and movement of the tale. The poem is divided into five section and each is marked via title cards and changes in lighting.
