Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Jimmie Farrell (J. Warren Kerrigan) is a newly-rich Oklahoma oilman. He plays cards with gambler "Ace High" Burdette and Burdette loses everything, including his Long Island estate. As he's wandering through the woods Burdette is injured and held captive by a half-wit, Curio Johnson (Clifford Alexander). When Burdette turns up missing, he is reported dead. Farrell goes to the Long Island estate and Burdette's daughter Cynthia (Lois Wilson) arrives from France. She is unaware that her father lost the property, and Farrell, who doesn't want to tell her of her father's death, pretends to be the chauffeur. A romance develops between them. But a crooked promoter, William Phelps (William Conklin), shows up and he tries to put the blame for Burdette's death on Farrell. Cynthia turns her back on Farrell, but then her father shows up, very much alive. The couple reconcile, and for a wedding present, Farrell gives Cynthia the Long Island property.
