With a turgid plot of double-dealings, this Syrian melodrama features the heroics of a young woman who is first seduced by her boss, a physician, and then descends into prostitution in order to make a living. Unknown to her clients, she is secretly tape recording their assignations with the idea of somehow bringing in more money. If the information she gathers sounds important, her clients might well pay her to destroy the tapes. But she eventually has a change of heart and decides to turn the tapes over to the right authorities. Life then gets a lot more complicated since going straight can sometimes be more dangerous than staying on the wrong side of the law.
