synopsis
Also released as The Sullivans, this movie was banned by many theater-owners because of the devastating effect it had on some of the emotionally distraught moviegoers who had lost loved ones during the war. Perhaps one of the most heart-wrenching moments in movie history, this is the true story of five brothers who were killed together on the Battleship Juneau at Guadalcanal when it was torpedoed during WWII. The movie takes the viewer through the righteous indignation felt by the brothers upon the bombing of Pearl Harbor through their deaths. It was a moving tribute to those who lost their lives in combat and to the loved ones left to mourn their loss.
