Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Evidently, this 1914 British four-reeler was the first film version of Robert Louis Stevenson's The Suicide Club. Montague Love, who had a long career ahead of him as a movie villain, is here cast as the dashing hero Florizel, a prince in disguise. Through a fluke, Florizel finds himself at a meeting of the sinister Suicide Club, whose members pass their time by murdering the other members. Before he quite knows what is happening, Florizel himself is targeted for assassination. A highly romanticized adaptation of The Suicide Club showed up in 1937 under the title Trouble for Two, with Robert Montgomery as Florizel.
