Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The ten-week cable documentary series The Season offered an up-close and personal look at the Notre Dame football team, chronicling the lead-up and aftermath of each of the team's televised games. Also shown were the activities indulged in by the team members when they weren't playing (very little horseplay or hanky-panky here!). If the show had a star, it would have been second-year coach Tyrone Willingham, who was determined to win the Fighting Irish's first national championship in 15 years. The Season debuted September 9, 2003.
