Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Country girl Dore Dexter (Ruth Findlay) heads to the city, determined to recover the money swindled from her parents. Strengthening Dore's resolve is the fact that her Mom and Dad both died of grief as a result of losing their life savings. The villain of the piece is Albert Sassoon (John M. Sainpolis), who considers himself above the law because of his vaunted social position. But with the help of millionaire Garry Lindaberry (J.P. Glendon), with whom she has fallen in love, Dore gets the goods on Sassoon and reclaims what is rightfully hers. The Salamander was adapted from a novel by Owen Johnson, jettisoning most of the plot and concentrating on action and melodrama.
