Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Screenwriter Cai Shangjun makes his feature directorial debut with this earnest study of father/son relationships concerning an absentee father who returns home after five years to discover that his wife has died and he has been declared officially dead. Song (Yao Anlain) has been working away from home for five years, and quite a bit has changed since he last saw his family. Song is now a widower, and his son has filed paperwork claiming that he is now officially an orphan. While it won't be easy reconnecting with the bitter teenager after all these years, Song does his best to bond with the boy as father and son attempt to sustain themselves through farming.
